Trailed combine draper header HPP-6.7

The trailed combine draper header HPP-6.7 is an efficient device for harvesting cereals, cereal crops and grasses for hay of medium and low yields with the mowed mass being placed in a single counter-flow swath in all climatic zones where a separate harvesting method is used.

The trailed combine draper header HPP-6.7 is a new Sunfloro product in the line of devices for separate harvesting. It is used for harvesting spiked cereals, cereal crops and grasses for haylage of medium and low yields in conditions where direct combining is not possible or inefficient. The HPP-6.7 header can be combined with tractors of class 1.4-2.0 of any manufacturer.

Trailed combine draper header HPP-6.7

Description

The trailed combine draper header HPP-6.7 is designed for mowing cereals, cereal crops and grasses for haylage of medium and low yields with the mowed mass being placed in a single counter-flow swath in all climatic zones where a separate harvesting method is used.

The trailed combine draper header HPP-6.7 provides:

  • copying the field relief during cutting;
  • efficient collection of moistened mass due to the canvas conveyor;
  • low cut from 5 cm;
  • high work productivity;
  • low level of losses during harvesting and windrowing.

The trailed canvas header HPP-6.7 can be combined with tractors of class 1.4-2.0 of any brands.

Design of the trailed combine draper header HPP-6.7

The main parts of the header are: platform, shed (drawbar), reel, cutterbar, conveyors, dividers, hydraulic equipment and running gear. The platform is the main load-bearing element of the header, a three-dimensional spatial structure consisting of a load-bearing frame, sidewalls and a base for the web conveyors. When the tractor turns to the left, it moves away from the header and, when aligning to a straight line, it may happen that the reaper's wheels go wrong and it cannot return to the working position to the right of the tractor. To prevent this from happening, the header is equipped with a pendulum mechanism and an additional linkage with a powerful spring. When turning to the right, nothing happens, and when turning to the left, the pendulum mechanism begins to compress it - and with the help of the energy of the compressed spring, the header returns to the working position after turning. In addition, the header has a PTO shaft that drives the platform's working bodies. A jack is mounted on a bushing near the eye of the swivel sickle. By turning on the sleeve, the support is fixed with a pin in the working (vertical) and non-working (horizontal) positions. In the transport position, the folding shed is folded along the header and secured, the support wheels are turned 90°, and the header is towed by a special transport loop.

The reel has a six-blade design with plastic rakes that bring the plants to the cutting unit, hold them at the moment of cutting and feed them to the conveyor belts. The reel is driven by a chain drive, and a variator is provided to change the speed. The drive is equipped with a chain overrunning safety clutch, which prevents jerking loads during start-up and stop of the reel. There are six speed ranges for adjusting the reel speed. The reel is raised and lowered by two hydraulic cylinders located on the sides. Telescopic clamps are installed near the hydraulic cylinders to relieve the hydraulic circuit for lifting the reel and to adjust the minimum height of its lowering.

During operation, the tines perform a complex circular motion and can be adjusted from plus 15° (forward tilt) to minus 30° (reverse tilt). The tine is tilted automatically due to the special design of the tine disc with rollers, which are interacted with two (left and right) sliders. The roller discs provide a predetermined tine angle during reel rotation, which changes automatically when the reel is moved horizontally (during reel out). In addition, the tine angle can be adjusted by means of the corresponding adjustment locks located on the edges of the reel hubs. As standard, the reel is mechanically moved forward/backward. Additional hydraulic cylinders are available as an option, allowing the reel to be moved directly from the tractor cab. The segment-finger cutterbar is designed for mowing plants. The cutterbar knife is driven by a planetary knife drive designed to convert the rotational motion of the drive shaft into reciprocating motion of the knife.

The draper conveyors (left and right) transport the mowed and deposited crop to the ejection window. They consist of a conveyor belt, drive and driven shafts and decks. The belt is a wide rubberized belt with vulcanized slats and a guide rail. The one-piece conveyor belt makes it possible to work in wet crops and grass without clogging. The conveyors are driven from the conveyor drive shaft pulleys to the conveyor drive shaft pulleys by V-belts.

The header has two movable dividers (left and right). Each consists of a body and a pipe. The body of the divider is equipped with a shock absorber that allows it to swing up and down relative to the header body. The removable pipe is used for harvesting fallen crops. The short, pointed toe of the header is used for harvesting upright crops. Plastic pads are used on the shoes of the dividers, which allow working at the lowest cut.

The chassis of the header includes two wheels mounted on separate independent brackets and mounted on the platform frame. The wheels have a transport position and a working position: each wheel is pulled out of the preset position with the hub, moved to another position and locked with a locking pin. The hydraulic system of the trailer header consists of a hydraulic reel control system and a hydraulic header lifting system. The header is raised and lowered by two hydraulic cylinders located on the sides. They, in turn, act on the transport wheels. A telescopic lock is provided to secure the header in the raised position. Thanks to the rear spring shock absorber, the cutting unit follows the field relief. The cutting height is adjusted by the support and transport wheels and can be adjusted from 50 to 200 mm. The hydraulic system of the header is connected to the hydraulic system of the tractor through quick couplers. Fluid is supplied to the hydraulic system by the tractor hydraulic system pump. The reel is controlled by horizontal and vertical movement. The tilt of the reel tines can be set using the handles located on the reel rollers.

The principle of operation of the trailed combine draper header HPP-6.7

During operation, the header as part of a tractor unit moves across the field, copying its relief, left and right side dividers separate the mass in width, and the reel, with the help of a rake that performs a complex circular motion and occupies a position from plus 15° (forward tilt) to minus 30° (backward tilt), captures the crop and feeds it to the segment-finger cutting unit driven by the tractor PTO through a planetary gearbox.

The cut crop is then fed to the left and right belt conveyors, which move the crop to the unloading window, after which it is placed in the swath.

The two movable dividers (left and right) have a shock absorber that allows them to swing up and down relative to the header body. A removable pipe is used for harvesting fallen crops. The short pointed toe of the header is used for harvesting upright crops. Plastic pads are used on the shoes of the dividers, which allow working at the lowest cut.

Design advantages of the trailed combine draper header HPP-6.7

Relief copying system. The spring shock absorber ensures that the cutting unit follows the field relief.

  • Smooth movement of the reel. The reel drive is a chain overrunning safety clutch, which eliminates jerking loads when starting and stopping the reel.
  • One-piece conveyor belt. Allows you to work on wet crops and grass.
  • 6 reel speed ranges. Six-blade reel with 6 speed ranges and optional hydraulic outrigger.
  • Adjustment of the cutting horizon. Mechanical adjustment of the crop cutting horizon due to the support wheels allows you to make a cut with a height of 5 cm.
  • Hydraulic jack for quick transfer to the working and transportation state. The use of a hydraulic jack for transferring from the transport to the working position allows you to quickly start and finish harvesting operations.
